A nice nose with medicinal notes and hints of peat smoke and sea air.

The palate is creamy, smooth and warming with some smoked meats and a hint of salty liquorice.

The finish has a hint of subtle spice, toasted oak, and expect a little apricot and some butterscotch.

The region Islay Although Islay is part of the Islands it insists on being a Whisky region of its own. Despite the fact that Islay is the smallest of islands of the Hebrides but being home of 8 distilleries with Bowmore the second oldest of the operating distilleries in Scotland emphasizes this exceptional status. The expression of Islay single malt whiskys along with whiskys from the island of Skye is dominated by peat.
